Grades for Biol 1322    Posted: May 16, 2008
The gradebook should now reflect your grades for all of your tests, your assessment paper, and your final exam. The other components of your grade were discussion and assignments (I'm assuming you know about what your participation was in these areas--if you did all you were supposed to do, each was 100). To see your final average for the class, you can view your transcript online from the TC homepage. I enjoyed it, and wish all of you the best. cat

Feedback for test retakes    Posted: May 7, 2008
Feedback will be available for tests taken late on May 12 from midnight to midnight. cat

Missed tests    Posted: May 5, 2008
I have spoken with a few of you concerning missed or botched tests. I will be reopening selected tests on May 7 at 1:00 pm. They will be available until May 11 at midnight. You need to email me as to which test you need and remind me of the details as to why you need to take it. If it was a computer problem, I'll need to clear your old grade before it lets you do the test again. So, you need to contact me prior to trying to take the test.

Test problems!!    Posted: Apr 23, 2008
Apparently there were three questions on the most recent test that were just flat wrong on the answer key to the test bank. I'll be reviewing each of your tests over the next several days to see which of these questions you were asked, and making the appropriate adjustments to your scores. Cat

Global Warming    Posted: Apr 15, 2008
I've been involved for the past couple of semesters in creating a survey about student attitudes concerning global warming. We need to get responses from as many students as possible--so I am asking you to participate if you can. Please go to the link provided and answer the questions. It should only take a few minutes of your time. Thanks!!! cat

out of pocket    Posted: Feb 21, 2008

Gradebook    Posted: Feb 19, 2008
You may have noticed on the gradebook that your assignment and discussion credit has not been updated. I update those only a few times during the semester when I upload my excel spreadsheets onto the pageout server. You can keep track yourself--I think there are 16 assignments, just turning them in gives you an 100. (so for your assignment grade add your grades and divide by 16) and there are 32 discussion grades(2 postings per chapter) again, just by doing them you get 100s.--add these together and divide by 32. Remember that the assignment average counts 10% and so does the discussion average. cat

Good Job    Posted: Feb 12, 2008
Hey good work on test one. The class average was 76 (on campus was 75). Congrats! About the discussion board--please post your response under the link that says your group number (area for group 1 etc.). It makes it so much easier for me to find you and give you credit. cat

Personal Nutrition Assessment Worksheet    Posted: Feb 7, 2008
I've just uploaded a worksheet to help you gather the info for you final paper into the Orientation Session from the Course Content Link. I've added reminders about it to each of the chapter session links as well. Work on this as you move through the chapters and your paper will be pretty much written by the end of the semester. In the chapter 4 section on Metabolism, I write for you to use the ATP expended worksheet from class. Since you guys are not doing that--just get your suggested kcal expenditure from the nutritiondata.com web site. Hope this helps you out. cat

Responses from me    Posted: Feb 1, 2008
When I receive work from you I will always send a response. I check my mail a few times a day during the work week, but not so often on weekends. If you don't get a response from me within 24 hours during the week, resend your work because I probably did not receive it. Keep up the good work. cat

Discussion Board    Posted: Jan 30, 2008
